2014/14—Defence Consultation in Nowra on 11 November—HATS and ANEF
03 November 2014
The Department of Defence has advised the Jervis Bay Territory Administration that it has developed a proposal to construct new and refurbished facilities at HMAS Albatross and the Jervis Bay Airfield to support future training for the Navy and Army helicopter aircrew. The project is known as the JP9000 Phase 7 Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Facilities Project.
Defence has also undertaken a recent Australian Noise Exposure Forecast (ANEF) study, which investigates the various aircraft movement scenarios at HMAS Albatross and Jervis Bay Airfield.
A community consultation information session, which covers elements of the HATS Facilities Project and the results of the ANEF study, is scheduled for Tuesday 11 November 2014 from 4 pm to 7.30pm at the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre, located at 44 Bridge Road, Nowra.
Members of the Jervis Bay Territory community are invited to attend the information session.
