The Department is pleased to announce that it has engaged the services of Regional Development Australia Mid-West Gascoyne (RDA MWG) to deliver grant-writing capability workshops to interested members of the communities on Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
The purpose of these workshops is to build capability and skills in preparing grant applications and developing business cases to support grant-funding applications for Government grant opportunities.
The workshops will be delivered during the week of 12–16 June 2017. Details are:
- 9am–1.30pm, Monday 12 June 2017, Function Room, Christmas Island Recreation Centre, Christmas Island (light lunch included)
- 8.30–11am, Wednesday 14 June 2017, Training Room, Indian Ocean Group Training Association, Home Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands
- 9am–1.30pm, Thursday 15 June 2017, Training Room, Community Resource Centre, West Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands (light lunch included)
The workshops are open to residents and participants from community and local government organisations based in the Indian Ocean Territories. Cocos Malay translation will be provided for the Home Island workshop.
Residents or organisational representatives may also register for a one-on-one session. These sessions will be available by appointment.
