Regional Growth Fund

The Australian Government will provide $472.2 million over four years from 2017 to 2018 to establish a Regional Growth Fund.

The Regional Growth Fund includes $272.2 million to provide grants of $10 million or more for major transformational projects which support long-term economic growth and create jobs in regions undergoing structural adjustment.

Also in the Regional Growth Fund is a further $200 million for the Building Better Regions Fund (BBRF) for four years from 2017 to 2018. This builds on the commitment to the BBRF at the 2016 election, bringing the commitment to nearly $500 million.
